CCLSIs work with children, youth, teens and adults in the community by teaching them skills that are lost as a result of their mental illness. CCLSIs can work with children in teaching them social skills, communication skills, conflict resolution skills and how to make friends. CCLSIs also work with teens and adults in organization skills, time management skills, money management skills and independent living skills. Our CCLSIs also help link them to resources in the community for things such as food assistance, clothing assistance, housing and utility assistance as well. Our CCLSIs can also help children and families with resources for additional opportunities for educational support and recreational activities as well. CCLSIs also coordinate care by working very closely with all members of a client’s treatment team including their therapists or psychiatrists or primary care providers to ensure the most successful road to recovery.
